The RotopaX 1, 2 and 4 Gallon Extension is the standard stacking kit in the RotopaX lineup — the one most builds need when running two containers on a single mount point. It lets you stack any combination of 1, 2, 2 GEN 2, and 4 gallon RotopaX containers together using a single Standard, DLX, or LOX pack mount, expanding your fuel or water capacity without adding a second mount location or taking up additional rack space.

The extension is built from anodized aluminum, consistent with the same hardware quality used throughout the RotopaX mounting system. Installation is straightforward: mount your base container to the vehicle using a standard pack mount, thread the extension into the center post, and stack the second container on top. The two containers lock together in a secure, rattle-free assembly that holds up through rough terrain and heavy vibration. The largest bottom container in the stack determines which extension you need — and for any combination of 1, 2, and 4 gallon containers, this is the right one.

The compatibility logic on extensions matters, and it is worth getting right before ordering. This extension is for stacking 1, 2, 2 GEN 2, and 4 gallon containers together. It does not work with 1.75 gallon containers — those require the 1.75 Gallon Extension. It does not work with 3 gallon containers — those require the 3 Gallon Extension. If you are unsure which extension your setup needs, the rule is simple: identify the largest base container in your stack and match the extension to it.

Shipping

We ship nationwide and internationally. Most in-stock items leave our shop within 1–3 business days. Made-to-order and oversized parts may require additional lead time; any special timing will be noted on the product page.

Order Processing

If an order is placed outside of our normal business hours (Monday–Friday), we will process it as soon as possible once our team is back in the shop during regular operating hours. Weekend orders will be handled the next business day.

Tracking & Delivery

  • You'll receive a tracking email as soon as your order ships.
  • We cannot ship to PO Boxes for oversized or freight items.
  • Signature may be required for high-value shipments.

Freight & Oversize Items

  • Large/oversized products (bumpers, racks, etc.) ship via LTL freight.
  • Please inspect your delivery at arrival. Note any damage on the carrier’s paperwork and take photos before signing—this is required to file a claim.
  • Residential freight includes curbside delivery; inside delivery/appointments may incur additional fees.

International Orders

  • Duties, taxes, and import fees are the buyer’s responsibility and are not included at checkout.
  • Some products may have export restrictions or carrier limits.

Order Changes & Cancellations

  • Requests must be made within 24 hours of purchase when possible.
  • Custom or built-to-order items may not be cancellable once production begins.

Returns & Exchanges

We want you stoked on your gear. Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.

Eligibility

  • Items must be new, unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging with all hardware.
  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect.
  • A restocking fee (typically 10–20%) may apply to non-defective returns to cover inspection, repackaging, and processing.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Installed/used items, custom or made-to-order products, electrical/electronic components, clearance/“garage sale” items, and gift cards.

How to Start a Return

  1. Log in to your account and open the order, or contact us with your order number.
  2. We’ll issue return instructions and an RMA if approved. Returns without RMA may be refused.
  3. Pack securely; include all parts and paperwork. We recommend insured, trackable shipping.

Refunds

  • Once received and inspected, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable (except in cases of our error or a confirmed defect).

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

  • Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the product, packaging, and shipping label.
  • For freight damage, ensure notes are made with the carrier at delivery and take photos before signing.

Warranty
