Take your 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler TJ further with the BDS Suspension 4.5-inch lift kit with long arm conversion. Built for serious overland and off-road builds, this complete system improves stance, increases wheel travel, and provides clearance for up to 33-inch tires. By maximizing the length of both the upper and lower control arms, BDS minimizes caster change for optimal handling and reduced road forces, giving you a confident, predictable ride on the trail and on the highway.
The front kit includes subframe pivot mounts, heavy-duty lower flex arms, adjustable upper flex arms, 4.5-inch Pro-Ride coil springs capable of full coil bind, and bump stop extensions to control compression travel while increasing wheel travel. It also includes braided stainless steel brake lines, ultimate sway bar disconnects, a front adjustable track bar with flex joint that fits the existing frame mount, and a drop pitman arm to improve steering and handling geometry. The rear kit uses Pro-Ride coil springs for maximum travel, a stainless braided brake line, and a rear track bar relocation bracket. Finish your build with your choice of specially tuned NX2 Nitro Series gas shocks or FOX 2.0 IFP Performance Series gas shocks for improved damping.
Upgrading to a long arm setup adds strength, improves handling, and takes off-road articulation to the next level. The conversion uses massive 1/4-inch steel frame-mounted brackets to install the oversized upper and lower formed long arms. The arms are formed for maximum tire clearance and allow the stock control arm tabs to remain on the vehicle. The upper arms are solid stock, while the heavy-wall tubular lower arms use oversized greaseable polyurethane bushings for superior road vibration isolation.
A pair of full-length, Jeep-specific Pro-Ride coil springs provide the correct lift height and a smooth, predictable ride across varied terrain. Manufactured from high tensile steel, these direct OE replacement springs are engineered with a properly sized wire diameter for maximum reliability without premature coil bind.
NX2 Nitro Series: Nitrogen-charged, twin-tube design with 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, dual-welded ends for increased strength, 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, self-lubricating seals, and a silver powder coat finish.
FOX 2.0 Performance Series: 2-inch impact extruded aluminum body, internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design, CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends, 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft, race-developed high-flow piston design, application-specific valving, and a long-lasting clear anodized finish.
33 x 12.5 tires with 15 x 8 wheels and 3.5-inch backspacing. Trimming may be required.
Long Arm systems also fit short wheelbase Rubicon models (not Unlimited models).
