The Opti-Rate Replacement Leaf Springs are the result of more than a decade of engineering, testing, and real-world refinement across every type of Transit build—from lightweight adventure vans to fully outfitted expedition rigs. Traditional leaf spring upgrades force owners to choose a specific spring rate or lift height based on estimated final weight, often requiring guesswork or last-minute changes once a build is complete. The Opti-Rate system eliminates that limitation entirely.
Designed as a truly tunable, one-size-fits-all solution, the Opti-Rate spring pack allows you to adjust both spring rate and ride height without removing the springs from the van. Each pack uses a multi-stage approach consisting of a primary main spring, a three-leaf secondary stage, and our industry-first Adjustable Preload Spacer (APS) system, which allows the secondary stage to be progressively engaged based on vehicle weight and performance preference.
Using machined aluminum spacer blocks with stackable Delrin glide pads, the APS system preloads the secondary stage into the primary spring as needed. The result is a customizable suspension solution suitable for everything from empty passenger vans to fully built overland conversions.
Light vans benefit from the softest, most compliant ride by running no APS preload.
Mid-weight vans can install the APS with a single pad for a firmer rate and increased ride height.
Heavy vans or those seeking maximum support can stack two pads for the highest rate and maximum lift.
Adjustments can be made with the springs installed using simple hand tools, making this an ideal system for DIY builders, professional upfitters, or installers working with incomplete or evolving van builds.
Note: Vans equipped with a rear sway bar require extended rear sway bar links (available separately). These leaf springs ship via truck freight; providing a commercial address will reduce shipping costs.
