xBuilt for easier access and everyday confidence, the Aluminess Recon Side Steps for the Ford Transit give your van a more practical entry point without adding unnecessary weight to your build. Whether you are climbing in after a long day on the trail, helping pets or kids get in safely, or making daily access more comfortable, these side steps are designed to make your Transit easier to use without compromising its adventure-ready setup.
The redesigned Recon Side Steps feature a wide 7-inch stepping surface for stable footing, integrated drain holes, and a durable tread pattern for added grip. Built from lightweight, rust-free aluminum in California, they offer a clean, functional upgrade that pairs well with the Aluminess Baja front bumper and other Transit exterior accessories.
Integrated L-Track Bowtie mounts give you added utility for securing gear or clipping in your dog, while built-in rock light mounts make it easier to add lighting underneath your van. Rock lights are sold separately, but the mounting points are already built in so you do not have to figure out a separate install solution later.
These steps are designed to cover the door zone only, helping reduce weight while still giving you the access you need most. They are compatible with both 130-inch and 148-inch wheelbase Ford Transit models. Driver and passenger side steps are sold together as a pair.
Please note: These side steps are designed for vehicle access and utility. They are not intended to be used as rock sliders.

Fitment Note: These side steps are designed for access and utility only. They are not rock sliders and are not intended for vehicle protection against rocks or trail impacts. If your Transit has aftermarket tanks, batteries, or other equipment mounted underneath the van, confirm clearance before installation.
Shipping & Return
xShipping
We ship nationwide and internationally. Most in-stock items leave our shop within 1–3 business days. Made-to-order and oversized parts may require additional lead time; any special timing will be noted on the product page.
Order Processing
If an order is placed outside of our normal business hours (Monday–Friday), we will process it as soon as possible once our team is back in the shop during regular operating hours. Weekend orders will be handled the next business day.
Tracking & Delivery
- You'll receive a tracking email as soon as your order ships.
- We cannot ship to PO Boxes for oversized or freight items.
- Signature may be required for high-value shipments.
Freight & Oversize Items
- Large/oversized products (bumpers, racks, etc.) ship via LTL freight.
- Please inspect your delivery at arrival. Note any damage on the carrier’s paperwork and take photos before signing—this is required to file a claim.
- Residential freight includes curbside delivery; inside delivery/appointments may incur additional fees.
International Orders
- Duties, taxes, and import fees are the buyer’s responsibility and are not included at checkout.
- Some products may have export restrictions or carrier limits.
Order Changes & Cancellations
- Requests must be made within 24 hours of purchase when possible.
- Custom or built-to-order items may not be cancellable once production begins.
Returns & Exchanges
We want you stoked on your gear. Eligible items may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.
Eligibility
- Items must be new, unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging with all hardware.
- Buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect.
- A restocking fee (typically 10–20%) may apply to non-defective returns to cover inspection, repackaging, and processing.
Non-Returnable Items
- Installed/used items, custom or made-to-order products, electrical/electronic components, clearance/“garage sale” items, and gift cards.
How to Start a Return
- Log in to your account and open the order, or contact us with your order number.
- We’ll issue return instructions and an RMA if approved. Returns without RMA may be refused.
- Pack securely; include all parts and paperwork. We recommend insured, trackable shipping.
Refunds
- Once received and inspected, approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable (except in cases of our error or a confirmed defect).
Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
- Please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the product, packaging, and shipping label.
- For freight damage, ensure notes are made with the carrier at delivery and take photos before signing.
Warranty
Many products include a manufacturer warranty. We’re happy to help facilitate claims—reach out with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue.
